Keshavraj Temple, Asud, Dapoli, Ratnagiri

Keshavraj Temple is situated at Asud village of Dapoli taluka in Ratnagiri, Maharashtra, India. The ancient Keshavraj Temple dates back to around five thousand years ago, in a spectacularly beautiful location beside a perennial spring in a hilltop betel nut grove. Five Pandavas built this awakening shrine of Shri Vishnu in one night. The black stone idol of Shri Dev Keshavraj (Laxmikant) is three and a half feet high. Conch, chakra, padma, mace are the weapons and the idol is east-facing.

Keshavraj is worshiped daily by wearing dhoti and uparne after Maha Abhishek. Mahanaivaidya is offered to Shri Dev Laxmikant and Mahaarati is performed. Festivals are held in the month of Kartik from Kartik Shuddha Ekadashi to Kartik Pournima and from Kartik Krishna Ekadashi to Kartik Krishna Trayodashi.
