Bhairi Bhavani Temple is situated at Shringarpur village of Sangameshwar taluka in the district of Ratnagiri, Maharashtra, India.
The Prachitgad Fort houses an ancient shrine dedicated to Shri Bhairi Bhavani. This temple has idols of Shri Bhairi (Bhairava), Shri Bhavani, Shri Mahalaxmi, and Shri Mahishasurmardini (Pashchimdevata). However, because there is no paved road leading to the fort, not everyone may visit it. As a result, this Shri Bhairi Bhavani temple was erected at the base of the fort in Shringarpur village. The idols of four Prachitgad goddesses have been newly ensconced in this temple in a ritualistic manner.
The temple complex is immaculate and lovely. As you enter the temple, you will see a black stone statue of Shri Dev Bhairi on the left side sanctum and a lovely idol of Shri Mahalaxmi on the right side sanctum. In the temple’s main core, a very elaborate idol of Shri Bhavani Mata is erected. In front of this sanctum is a lovely Shri Ganesha idol. Along with Ashtadikpala, the temple contains 13 domes, and Ganpati is placed atop the temple’s Brahmadhya. Shri Pashchimdevata is located behind Bhavani Mata Temple.
Shringarpur is the village of Maharani Yesubai of Maratha Empire.
