Shree Devi Navdurga Devasthan is in Kanyale vadi of Redi village. Devi Navadurga is the form of Parvati. This goddess was originally from the village of Gavasi in Goa. But due to the sixteenth century persecution of the Portuguese in Goa, the devotees of that time decided to take the goddess away from Goa and established it at Redi village in Vengurla.The idol is said to be at least 450 years old.
